The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has agreed to explore all options to form a government.
A meeting of the party office bearers held at the party's central office in Parisdanda, Kathmandu, on Saturday afternoon concluded to discuss all possible alternatives to form a government. The party is also ready to discuss government formation with the CPN (UML), besides other parties.
Maoist Center Vice Chairman Krishna Bahadur Mahara said in addition to the review of the election, various options have been kept open for the formation of the government.
"We did a preliminary review of the election and acknowledged that we did not get as many seats in the federal parliament as expected. Another detailed review of the election would be done after final results are out," Mahara said.
He added, "We also have not decided to leave the alliance a. But, we are keeping all other options open."
Maoist Center General Secretary Dev Gurung said that the office bearers' meeting was called on Monday as well.
