Nepali Congress candidate Dhanraj Gurung's victory as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Syangja 2 has been sealed.
Gurung is ahead of CPN (UML) candidate Padma Aryal by 5,766 votes as 68,508 votes out of total 70,091 votes cast have been counted.
NC's Gurung got 30,969 votes while UML's Aryal received 25,203 votes. Similarly, Tikaraj Gurung of the Rastriya Swotantra Party got 8,018 votes.
Congress candidate has maintained lead in Province Assembly constituency 2 as well.
NC's Mahesh Bhattarai has received 18,378 votes while UML's Buddhiman Shrestha has got 16,243 votes.
