A suspicious object has been found at CPN-UML leader Gokul Baskota's residence in Bhaktapur.

Bhaktapur Police Range DSP Raju Pandey told Nepalkhabar that a bomb disposal unit of the Nepali Army (NA) has reached the area and security arrangements around the area have been tightened following the discovery of the suspicious object.

"Currently, NA's bomb disposal unit is carrying out its investigation in the area," Pandey told Nepalkhabar.

A suspicious object was placed on the compound wall of Baskota's house on Sunday morning. Immediately, the police were informed.

The police said that who placed the suspicious item is yet to be known.
