Nepali Congress' candidate Badri Prasad Pandey has won seat of member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Bajura.
According to the final results announced by the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Pandey won the HoR seat from Bajura with 31,786 votes. He defeated rival CPN (UML) candidate Karna Bahadur Thapa by 5,437 votes. Thapa lost garnering 26,349 votes.
Pandey is also NC's joint general secretary.
Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party's Jung Kumar Giri received 207 votes, independent candidate Tek Bahadur Baduwal got 114 votes and Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal's Ram Bahadur Shahi got 73 votes.
Earlier in the 2017 general election, Lal Bahadur Thapa of CPN-UML was elected as a federal lawmaker from Bajura and was a common candidate of the left alliance.
Towards the provincial seats, Naresh Kumar Shahi of CPN (Unified Socialist) Party has been elected in Provincial Assembly 1 and NC's Padam Bahadur Shahi in Provincial Assembly 2.
With this, the results of 164 HoR constituencies out of 165 have been declared, with result from Dolakha awaited.
