With the results of 164 out of total 165 House of Representatives (HoR) constituencies made public, now all eyes are set on Dolakha, where vote count of the recently held election is yet to conclude.
Though the larger mandate of the public has already been known, the result from Dolakha will formally conclude the election process of the second general election held by Nepal after embracing federalism.
The CPN (UML) is leading the vote count in Dolakha. According to the latest count, UML's Bal Krishna Siwakoti has so far received 16,620 votes with 37,220 votes counted.
Likewise, his nearest rival Ganga Karki of CPN (Maoist Centre) is chasing Siwakoti with 14,937 votes.
The HoR comprises a total of 275 seats in the HoR with 165 seats under first-past-the-post (FPTP) category and 110 under proportional representation (PR) category.
The grand old party Nepali Congress (NC) has won the highest number of 57 HoR seats, winning popular mandate in FPTP category while the CPN (UML) has won the popular mandate in PR category.
The UML, which emerged as the largest party from the first general election in 2017, has been relegated to the second place in the second general election with 44 FPTP HoR seats.
The CPN (Maoist Center), which was the second largest party in the first general election, has faced an unexpected results with only 17 seats in hand this time around. Neverthless, it is ranked third.
Similarly, CPN (Unified Socialist) won 10 HoR seats while Rastriya Swotantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party secured seven seats each.
Likewise, Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party secured four seats, Nagarik Unmukti Party two, Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Janamat Party won one seat each.
A total of five independent candidates have been elected as federal lawmaker in this election.
