Nepali Congress has decided to allow Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to express his views in the meeting of the House of Representatives today.

A parliamentary party (PP) meeting of main opposition Nepali Congress held at Lhotse Hall in Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar on Friday morning took a decision to this effect.

Nepali Congress had been barring Lamichhane from expressing his views in the parliament meetings and disrupting House meetings demanding a parliamentary committee to investigate Lamichhane in the cooperative fund embezzlement case.

The PP meeting has held discussions on the party’s roles on the budget session which is commencing from today, leaders have said.

President Ramchandra Paudel, in accordance with Article 93 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, on May 2 summoned the joint session of the federal parliament on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

The NC PP meeting scheduled for 2 pm on Thursday has been postponed for today due to the demise of former Central Working Committee member of Nepali Congress Surya Man Gurung.
