JSP-N pulls out of Prachanda-led govt as DPM Yadav resigns

Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSP-N) has pulled out of the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav tendered his resignation at the Official Residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar on Monday morning, sources have said.

Similarly, JSP-N’s another minister Deepak Karki has also tendered his resignation, according to his secretariat.

They were forced to tender resignations after Federal Council  Chairman of JSP-N Ashok Rai broke away to register a new party Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) with six lawmakers.

With JSP-N being split into three groups, its impact has surfaced in the center as well as in the provincial levels, of late.

CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) on Sunday pulled out of the Madhesh Province government and withdrew their support to it.

Meanwhile, four parties – UML, Maoist Center, Janamat Party and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party -- have started exercising to form a new government in Madhesh Province.
