A meeting of the Parliamentary Party (PP) of Nepali Congress held at Singha Durbar has dubbed Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s speech delivered on Sunday as a ‘misleading tirade.'

The meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday morning took strong exception to Home Minister Lamichhae’s speech describing it as ‘violent, aggressive and uncivilized’.

“Home Minister Lamichhane presented himself in a violent, aggressive and uncivilized manner. His speech was baseless, misleading and false,” NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said, “Home Minister should answer the questions raised in a responsible manner, not put up questions. We take strong exception to the way Lamichhane presented while delivering his speech yesterday.”

Lekhak further said that the parliamentary investigation committee is the bottom line of Nepali Congress.

“Today’s meeting concluded that Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane be investigated on the embezzlement case of cooperatives’ fund through the formation of a parliamentary investigation committee,” said Lekhak, “The formation of the investigation committee is our bottom line.”
