Opposition parties have decided to continue disrupting the sessions of the House of Representatives.

A meeting of the opposition parties held at the Office of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba in New Baneshwar took a decision to this effect.

The opposition parties including NC, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal (JSP-N), Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) held discussions on how to proceed in the House meeting.

“We have decided to maintain parliament disruptions,” RPP Chief Whip Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi told Nepalkhabar.

Opposition parties have been disrupting the House proceedings demanding the formation of the Parliamentary Investigation Committee to probe Home Minister Lamichhane for his alleged involvement in the embezzlement of cooperative funds.

Even though the ruling and the opposition parties have agreed to form a parliamentary probe committee, the NC is disrupting the House proceedings for failure to strike deal on ToR of the Committee.
