Ganga Karki of CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Dolakha.
Karki defeated rival CPN (UML) candidate Balkrishna Siwakoti by a slight margin.
Earlier, vote count between these two candidates were interesting. Karki and Siwakoti were leading the vote count in turns.
Karki won by defeating Siwakoti with a margin of 318 votes.
While Karki got 36,799 votes, UML's Siwakoti got 36,489 votes.
In the elections held on November 20, re-polling was conducted in some polling stations in Dolakha with the conclusion that polling booths were captured.
Re-election was held in 10 polling stations of Dolakha on December 1.
The Election Commission is making final preparations to declare the result.
Similarly, ruling coalition candidate from Nepali Congress Kundan Raj Kafle has registered his win as a province assembly member from Dolakha-1. He secured 23,331 votes while his arch-rival UML candidate Nara Bahadur Shrestha obtained 15,356 votes.
UML's Bharat Bahadur KC was elected as province assembly member from Dolakha constituency-2.
As per the official information, 85,388 among a total of 161,450 votes were cast in the parliamentary election in Dolakha.
