The price of gold which hit the record high on Friday has slightly gone down today.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmark gold decreased by Rs 200 per tola and that of silver by Rs 25 per tola.
The hallmark gold is being sold for Rs 142,000 and Tejabi for Rs 141,300, according to the Federation.
imilarly, the price of silver is set for Rs 1,850 per tola.
Hallmark gold was sold for Rs 142,200 and Tejabi for Rs 141,500 per tola on last Friday. This was the highest-ever price of gold in Nepal.
According to gold traders, the gold price has gone up following the budget for the fiscal year 2081/82.
Finance Minister Barshaman Pun had hiked the custom duty for gold from 15 percent to 20 percent while unveiling the budget.
