Bidushi Rana has been appointed as the honorary consul general of Iceland to Nepal.
Rana was appointed as the honorary consul general of Iceland to Nepal amidst a ceremony organized at the office of the Consulate General in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, newly appointed honorary consul general Rana expressed commitment that she would play roles to take the bilateral ties between the two countries to a new height.
"I will leave no stones unturned to benefit Nepal by promoting diplomatic, cultural and economic ties between the two countries," said Rana.
Meanwhile, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Pandey, expressed hope that newly appointed consul general Rana would play roles to bolster bilateral ties and develop industrial and technical sector of Nepal through the promotion of cultural and diplomatic ties with Iceland.
Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Chief Secretary, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and ambassadors of various countries among others were present during the event.
