Vice President of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Bater has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Sunday.’
Held at the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar, matters relating to bilateral ties, mutual cooperation, and implementations of bilateral agreements reached between Nepal and China were discussed in the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda expressed happiness stating that the agreements signed during his recent China visit are being implemented gradually.
He thanked the China government for bringing 14 Nepal-China checkpoints into operation and putting the bilateral agreements into actions step by step.
The two leaders also dwelled on the exchange of parliamentary practices between Nepal and China and expressed belief that this would peak up in the coming days, a source privy to the meeting said.
Speaking during the meeting, Vice President Bater, who is also a central committee member of the Chinese Communist Party, assured that China has taken the Nepal-China relations into top priority and it will intensify further in the upcoming days.
Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Dr. Rupak Sapkota, Personal Secretary Ramesh Malla and Joint Secretary at the Foreign Ministry, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, were present in the meeting from the Prime Minister’s side.
Similarly, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song among others attended the meeting representing the Chinese delegation.
