ANFA announces 22-member squad for Cedars Women’s Cup

Nepal will take on Jordan in its first match under the Cedars Women’s Cup 2024 to be held in Lebanon.  

The match will start on July 10, according to the schedule unveiled by Lebanon Football Association.

Nepal had lost to Jordan in a tiebreaker of the WAFF Women’s Championship held in Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, Nepal will take on Bangladesh on July 13 in its second match, play host Lebanon in the final match of the group stage on July 16.

 The four-nation competition will be held in a round robin format, the organizers have said. The top two teams of the group stage match will compete for the title.

Meanwhile, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced a 22-member team for the competition on Wednesday.

Nepali national team:
Goalkeepers: Anjila Tumbapo Subba, Anjana Rana Magar, Usha Nath

Defenders: Amrita Jaisi, Gita Rana, Hira Kumari Bhujel, Bimala BK, Nisha Thokar, Puja Rana, Samiksha Ghimire.

Midfielders: Renuka Nagarkoti, Saru Limbu, Anita Basnet, Sabita Rana Magar, Dipa Shahi, Anita KC, Priti Rai, Amisha Karki, Bimala Chaudhary

Forwards: Sabitra Bhandari, Rekha Paudel, Rashmi Kumari Ghising
