The monsoon is currently impacting the entire country due to the monsoon trough's lower-than-usual position to the south.
Currently, the weather is fully cloudy in Sudurpashchim Province and partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the provinces. Light to moderate rains are occurring in a few places of Bagmati and Sudurpashchim provinces and in one or two places of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.
Similarly, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country today with chances of light to moderate rains amidst thunderstorms in a few places of all provinces. Heavy rains are forecast in one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpashchim provinces today.
Likewise, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country tonight with chances of light to moderate rains in one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim.
Heavy rains are likely to occur in one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces tonight, according to a weather bulletin issued by the Division at 6 am today.
