The problem of ‘global IT outage’ has also been detected in Nepal.

Nepal's banks and financial institutions (BFIs), insurance companies, and payment service providers – all reliant on Microsoft browsers – are the latest victims of the global IT outage that's already disrupting airlines and other critical services worldwide.

“This problem was noticed in BFIs and Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL),” said Dilli Ram Pokharel, spokesperson of Nepal Rastra Bank.

Efforts are being made to fix the issue, said Pokharel.
