ING Skill Academy, in collaboration with Islington College, Kathmandu, recently concluded a three-day technology festival titled "Futurama."
Held from August 14 to 16, the event aimed to inspire the new generation interested in information technology by equipping them with cutting-edge technologies.
The festival showcased advanced technologies like AI goggles, Models of autonomous vehicles, and Robotic companions. All of these were developed by students from the Skill Museum and Islington College, highlighting their creativity and technical expertise.
The exhibition included experiences in documentary filmmaking, cybersecurity, and animation to bring the digital world to life. Through interactive booths, live demonstrations, and informative workshops, "Futurama" aimed to provide a glimpse into the future of
technology and deepen young people's understanding of the tech world.
The enthusiasm and active participation of the college students successfully transformed the event into a vibrant atmosphere. "In addition to technology, the event also aimed to emphasize sustainability and entrepreneurship. Alongside exploring technology's role in
modern business, Futurama also sought to focus on sustainability," said Swechya
Pradhanang, a Skill Supervisor at ING Skill Academy.
On the third day of the exhibition, the festival featured live music performances by singer Purna Rai and The Elements, adding to the attraction and entertainment of the event. The organizers noted that they aimed to make the three-day exhibition informative, educational, and entertaining. Over 2,500 participants attended the exhibition over the three days.
Notably, this landmark event is set to be held at various locations across Nepal throughout the month, promoting creativity, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.
