NC's Bahadur Singh Lama laying claim to Chief Minister of Bagmati Province today

Nepali Congress Province Assembly leader of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama, is staking a claim for the post of Chief Minister today.

Lama is submitting the claim to Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma with the support of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) today.

Province Chief Sharma called on the parties to stake a claim for the post of Chief Minister with the support of two or more than two parties in line with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal by 5 pm today (July 23) after the Prachanda-led government collapsed.

Lama is submitting the claim with the support of 64 lawmakers including 27 from UML and 37 Nepali Congress.

The Chief Minister will be appointed by the evening today, the Office of the Chief Minister has said.
