Bahadur Singh Lama sworn in as Bagmati Province CM

Bagmati Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama has been sworn in amidst a ceremony today.

Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed CM Lama.

CM Lama has named a 10-member cabinet today itself.

CM Lama administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers today itself, Govinda Prasad Poudel, Spoksperson at the Province Chief's Secretariat told RSS.

Representing CPN (UML), Prakash Shrestha has been appointed Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Kishore Silwal as the Minister for Forests and Environment, Kiran Thapa as the Minister for Health and Population, Aman Maskey as the Minister for Physical Planning and Infrastructure.

Similarly, Sukmaya Tamang has been sworn in as the Minister for Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration and Prem Bhakta Maharjan has been sworn in as the Minister of Labour, Employment and Transportation. They are from the UML.

Likwise, from Nepali Congress, Kundanraj Kafle, Shyam Khadka, Madhu Shrestha have been appointed as the ministers without portfolio.
Present in the oath-taking ceremony were Bagmati Province Speaker Bhuwan Kumar Pathak, Deputy Speaker Apsara Chapagain and outgoing CM Shalikram Jamkattel.

Lama was appointed CM on last Tuesday with the support of 64 members of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly. Lama was elected to Province Assembly from Nuwakot constituency no 2 (A).

CM Lama will be leading those ministries until the related ministers are assigned. Chief Minister Lama and the newly-appointed ministers assumed office after taking the oath of office and secrecy.
