Foreign Secretary Ms. Sewa Lamsal has held a meeting with Mr. Wang Hao, Vice Governor of the Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry said.
Secretary Lamsal, who is currently on a week-long official visit to China met with Yunan Province Vice Governor Wang today. During the meeting, the two leaders dwelled on issues ranging from mutual interest to bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism and connectivity.
“They discussed matters pertaining to mutual interests of both the countries including cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, people-to-people relations and connectivity,” the Foreign Ministry mentioned on X, formerly Twitter.

Lamsal delivered a keynote speech at the 5th China-South Asia Cooperation Forum in Kunming on Wednesday. In her address, she highlighted the ways and means to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Nepal and China.
Similarly, she stressed on the need to enhance bilateral cooperation, in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, connectivity, people-to-people relations and infrastructure development, among others, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Ms. Lamsal held a meeting with Mr. Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of China on the sidelines of the Forum. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations with a special focus on development cooperation.
Secretary Lamsal, who flew to China to participate in the 5th China-South Asia Cooperation Forum on July 22, will return home on July 27, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
