The government has appointed Dr. Shiva Raj Adhikari as the vice chairman of National Planning Commission (NPC).
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday appointed Adhikari to the post of Vice Chairman of NCP, a minister told Nepalkhabar.
Adhikari previously served as an NPC member during Min Bahadur Shrestha’s tenure as the vice chairman. Prior to this, he had headed the Department of Economics at Tribhuvan University (TU).
Similarly, the cabinet meeting has appointed Dr. RP Bichha, Dr. Ramesh Prasad Singh, Dr. Prakash Kumar Shrestha, Gita Kumari Poudel Adhikari, Dr. Jaya Bahadur Tandan and Ganga Datta as members of the NPC.
