Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has accused Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Lamichhane of telling a blatant lie.

Speaking in the special hour of the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday, Sharma, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP), accused former Home Minister Lamichhane of telling an absurd lie misleading people.

“A hilariously absurd lie just crossed my mind," said Sharma, "Outgoing Home Minister Lamichhane said from the rostrum that the government was overthrown within 24 hours of a case file initiated. The general public also felt that whether the government was ousted as soon as the case file of fake Bhutanese refugees was opened. I would like to try to dispel this illusion."

Reading out the dates of the registration of some recent high-profile cases, Sharma claimed that Rabi was not the Home minister when the files of many cases were opened.
