Law Committee endorses Transitional Justice Bill

The bill relating to transitional justice has been endorsed by the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee under the House of Representatives.

A meeting of the Committee today endorsed the Bill to amend the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons Act-2071 BS.

The task force formed to find a consensus on some provisions of the Bill submitted its report to the government on Wednesday. The Bill was passed by the Committee along with the understanding of the task force regarding it.
