Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has floated a proposal that the National Vigilance Center should be entrusted with the responsibility of dealing with the issues related to improper conducts.

General Secretary Thapa floated this proposal in the meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance held on Thursday.

The NVC should be further empowered and assigned with the responsibility to address the improper conducts carried out by the policy makers and government staffers.

“The NVC should be designated as the primary agency responsible for investigating and addressing improper actions,” Thapa said, “It should be empowered by making it a part of the anti-graft body and allowed to deal with issues related to improper actions.”

He said that the major corruption scandals in Nepal are carried out in a collusion under the cover of fraudulent policies.
