Foreign Affairs Secretary of India, Vikram Misri, has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.
Held at the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar a while ago, Secretary Misri and Prime Minister Oli discussed issues related to mutual interest and cooperation between the two countries, said the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
Secretary Misri who came on a two-day official visit to Nepal this morning is also scheduled to hold a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh, DPM and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak today itself.
Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal will host a dinner reception in honor of her Indian counterpart Misri this evening.
Similarly, he will hold a meeting with Foreign Minister of Nepal with Arzu Rana Deuba at 11 am tomorrow.
Misri who came on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Secretary Lamsal will return home Monday evening.
Invitation extended to Indian PM Modi for Nepal visit
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for an official visit to Nepal.
According to PM Oli's secretariat, PM Oli extended the invitation to his Indian counterpart through the visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Sunday.
The Indian Foreign Secretary arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal on Sunday.
Foreign Secretary Misri paid a courtesy call on PM Oli at the latter's office in Singha Durbar.
