India considers Nepal as its close neighbor: Foreign Minister Rana

Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has said that the India visit made her realize that it considers Nepal as a close neighbor.

Briefing the press about her India visit at Tribhuvan International Airport a while ago, Minister Rana said, “India received me with a warm welcome as the representative of Nepal. This is the respect to all the Nepali people. It made me feel that India considers Nepal as its close neighbor.” 

Foreign Minister Arzu Rana, who returned home today wrapping up her five-day visit to India, claimed that her India visit has been a huge success.

She informed that she handed over an invitation from Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, for a state visit to Nepal, and added that Modi responded positively. 
She further said that she raised issues including Pancheshwar Project, and air routes during the meeting with Modi. 

Minister Rana who flew to New Delhi on Sunday at the invitation of her Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar held meetings with Minister for External Affairs of India Jaishankar apart from paying a courtesy call on Prime Minister Modi. 

This is the first visit of Minister Rana after she assumed the responsibility as the Foreign Minister.
