Leaders who lost elections to vice chairs of Unified Socialist elected politburo members

Some leaders who lost the elections to the office-bearers of the CPN (Unified Socialist) have been elected as politburo members.

Ram Kumari Jhakri who lost the election to the female vice chairperson, Birodh Khatiwada (open category) and Ram Chandra Jha who lost the election to the vice chairperson under Madheshi category have been elected as the politburo members.

The Unified Socialist elected 18 office-bearers and a 105-member politburo committee in the election held on Tuesday night.

In the general convention held on the last week of June, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, and Ghanashyam Bhusal were elected as chairman, respected leader, and general secretary, respectively. The rest of the office-bearers were yet to be elected.  

There are 21 office-bearers and a 299-member central committee in the Unified Socialist.  

Under the open category, Dr. Ganga Lal Tuladhar, Jagannath Khatiwada, Bhanu Bhakta Joshi, and Prakash Jwala have been elected as the vice chairpersons.

Similarly, Dharmanath Prasad Shah has been elected as the vice chairperson under the Madheshi category.

While Metmani Chaudhary, Ram Kumar Bhattarai, Garima Shah, and Rajendra Rai were elected as deputy general secretaries, Ganesh BK, Baldev Chaudhary, Shreenath Baral, Sabitra Bhushal, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Som Prasad Pandey and Chandra Bahadur Shahi have been elected as secretaries.

Rajendra Pandey was elected as senior vice chairperson unopposed on Tuesday itself.
