China has congratulated Nepal on the authentication of the transitional justice bill by the President following the endorsement by both houses of the federal parliament.
Posting on social media on Saturday, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song congratulated Nepal for getting the transitional justice bill authenticated by the President.
"Congrats on the Commission of Investigation on the Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act (third amendment) Bill, 2081 BS certified by the Rt. Hon'ble Mr. Ram Chandra Paudel, the President of Nepal," reads the post.
The Himalayan nation has reached a pivotal point in its peaceful development through the agreement of all the parties involved, Ambassador Chen has said.
"It marks a historic milestone in the peaceful process of Nepal based on all parties' consensus," said Chen, "It's time for all stakeholders to go ahead and embrace a brighter future for Nepal."
