Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki has left for the United States of America (USA), Central Police Spokesperson DIG Abinarayan Kafle said.
IGP Karki of Nepal Police and Inspector General of Armed Police Force Narayan Dutta Paudel are leaving for the US via the flight of Qatar Airways. They will reach the US via Doha, according to Kafle.
Both police chiefs have left for the US to participate in the Chiefs of Police Summit to be held in New York, organized by the United Nations.
The summit will be held on July 7 and 8. Armed Police Inspector General Paudel has given the responsibility of the acting chief to AIG Banshiraj Dahal.
Similarly, AIG Rajan Adhikari, who was recently transferred to the National Police Academy, Maharajgunj, has been given the responsibility of acting police chief as IGP Karki left for US.
