Three minor boys drown in a pond in Dhanusha

Three children have drowned in a pond in Dhanusha district.

The three children who went to their maternal home for a feast drowned in a pond, the police said.

"Ten-year-old Aditya Kumar Sah, Ayush Sah, 9, and Sushanta Sah, 14, drowned in a pond at Laxminiya Rural Municipality-7 in Dhanusha on Wednesday evening," said the Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Mahendranagar, Sonu Kumar Sah.

It is suspected that the three kids who had gone to their maternal grandfather, Mahabir Sah, for a feast drowned in the pond in the course of swimming.

The deceased are the grandsons of three daughters of Mahabir Sah.

The bodies were found floating in the pond at around 7:30 pm.
