Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali

Likely to mar Teej festival

Monsoon is still active across the country with a low-pressure line located around the usual place in the west and toward south in the east.

The Kathmandu Valley has been witnessing rains since last night. It is still raining in many places in the Valley. It is likely to cause problems for women who are preparing to celebrate Teej today.

A few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the remaining provinces are experiencing light to moderate rains.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is currently partly to mostly cloudy across the country. Similarly, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning are possible in some parts of the hilly areas and a few places in the rest of the country this afternoon.

Furthermore, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, according to the weather forecast bulletin issued by the Division this morning.
