Couple buried in Jajarkot landslide retrieved

The bodies of a couple who went missing after their house was buried by a landslide have been retrieved.

According to Barekot Rural Municipality Chairman Bir Bahadur Giri, the missing couple were recovered from the landslide at 10:30 am today.

Prem Kumari Chalaune, 38, a ward member of Barekot Rural Municiplity-6 and her husband Man Bahadur Chalune were buried in a landslide that took place in Dhuma of the Rural Municipality in the wee hours of Sunday.

The incident took place at 2:00 am today and the 11-year-old daughter of the couple was rescued in an injured condition.

She has been rushed to the local hospital in Limsa.
