Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the murder of a woman at Gokarneshwar Municipality-1, in Sundarijal, Kathmandu.
According to SP Nawaraj Adhikari of District Police Range, Kathmandu, Ram Binay Mahara, 40, Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-3 and Santosh Ram Mahara, 24, of Basbariya Rural Municipality-5, Sarlahi, were arrested. They were were currently residing in Basundhara-3, Kathmandu.
The murdered woman is Ram Dulari, who hails from Siraha and was currently staying at Basundhara. However, her family and relatives have not come into contact.
A woman's body was found in a suspicious condition inside the crevice formed by two stones in Sundarijal on Thursday. According to the police, she used to work as a laborer to make her living.
A love affair is suspected to be the cause behind Dulari’s murder, according to a preliminary investigation of the police. Police said a further investigation into the incident is underway.
