A man has been arrested on the alleged charge of killing his wife from Dhapakhel in Lalitpur.
A 35-year-old Shashikala Rai of Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality-7, currently staying at Lalitpur Metropolitan City-24, Dhapakhel, had been found dead on August 28.
The kin of the deceased had filed a complaint at the police station on the same night after Shashikala was found dead in her bed. A team of police had reached the incident site and started investigating the case.
Following the investigation, the police reached the conclusion that Shashikala was murdered by none other than her own husband Bhakti Raj Rai, 33, SP Naresh Raj Subedi of the District Police Range, Office, Lalitpur, told Nepalkhabar.
“Bhakti Raj Rai has been arrested on the charge of murdering his wife and a murder case has been filed against him,” said Subedi.
