NEPSE gains 78.17 points; daily turnover hits Rs 8.192 bln

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a notable surge of 78.17 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

The market index increased by 78.17 points and closed at 2688.38 points. The sensitive index, which assesses the performance of 'A' class companies climbed by 13.40 points and reached 478.48. Out of 13 sub-groups, share price of 12 sub-groups increased while the share price of one sub-group plunged.

A total of 19.433 units of shares were traded at Rs 8.1692 billion. According to NEPSE, share price of Win Nepal Microfinance, Green Ventures Limited, Eastern Hydropower, Rawa Energy recorded a 10 percent gain in their share value.

Similarly, investors of Asian Hydropower earned 9.99 percent in their share value.

The share price of Three Star Hydropower plunged by 10 per cent followed by Sanima Large Cap Fund by 8.49 per cent, RBB Mutual Fund-2 by 4.1 per cent, Sunrise Fast Mutual Fund by 3.71 per cent and Sanima Growth Fund by 3.65 per cent.
