Driver rescued; taxi swept away by Kathmandu's Dhobikhola

A taxi that fell into Dhobikhola in Anamnagar has been swept away by the swollen rivulet.

The police informed that a taxi went out of control and fell into Dhobikhola from the bridge in front of Madan Bhandari College at Devinagar in Kathmandu.

According to the police, the taxi driver, 33-year-old Urgen Lama from Kalika Municipality-7, Chitwan, was rescued, but the taxi was washed away by the flood toward the bridge connecting Budhanagar and Thapathali.

Urgen was heading to Ekantakuna via Bijuli Bazaar.

Meanwhile, the police have requested the people living along the riverbanks to be careful as there is a big flood in the rivers and streams in the Kathmandu Valley.
