Nepal lost to Canada by 103 runs in the ICC World Cup League 2 Triangular ODI series.
This is the first time Nepal lost to Canada in history. In the three meetings in the past Nepal had defeated Canada.
Nepal was bowled out for 150 runs in 41.1 overs while it was chasing a 254-run target set by Canada.
Karan KC's 27-run score became the highest for Nepal followed by Sandeep Lamichhane with 22 runs while Aasif Sheikh contributed 20 runs.
On the bowling side, Dilon Heyliger took the highest 5 wickets giving away 31 runs while Akhil Kumar and Ansh Patel grabbed two wickets each for Canada.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground in King City, Canada set a 254-run target for Nepal losing eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Captain Nicholas Kirton topped the score with 73 runs including three fours and six sixes in 44 overs followed by Navneet Dhaliwal with 48 runs while Dilon Heyliger contributed 30 runs.
In reply, Sompal Kami and Lalit Rajbanshi took two wickets each while Sandeep Lamichhane, Rohit Paudel, and Gulson Jha grabbed one wicket each for Nepal.
