The body of the Bolero jeep driver who went missing in the Bhotekoshi River since Friday morning has been found.
The body of the driver was found at Sokhula in Phikkal Rural Municipality in Sindhuli on Monday, informed Armed Police Force Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed Nepalkhabar.
Two persons including the driver of the Bolero jeep, Ba 20 Cha 2185, had gone missing into the Bhotekoshi River after the vehicle went out of control and plunged into the river at Chhyaksa along the Bahrabise-Tatopani road section on Friday morning.
The body of Suntali Tamang, 35, of Bahrabise Municipality-9, who lost her life was found on Saturday itself.
"The body of Bolero jeep driver Sanu Tamang, 35, of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-5, has also been found," said Thapa, "the son of the deceased has identified the body. The body has been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for postmortem."
A nine-member team of Armed Police Force including divers deployed from Khurkot found the body of Tamang.
The missing jeep which veered off the road at Chhyaksa along the Bahrabisi-Tatopati road section on Friday was retrieved with the help of a crane on Friday evening.
Locals had informed the police after they saw a tyre of the jeep some 100 meters below the Arniko Highway at Chhyaksa in Bahrabise Municipality-6 on Friday evening.
It was found that driver Sanu Tamang and Suntali Tamang were missing in the river after their kin informed the police.
