PM Oli meets with UN Secretary General Guterres

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in New York to attend the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations, has held a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres today.

Held at the UN headquarters a while ago, Prime Minister Oli and Secretary-General  Guterres discussed various matters ranging from transitional justice to climate change and sustainable development to peacekeeping.

"They exchanged views on deepening Nepal-UN relations and discussed various matters including transitional justice, sustainable development, climate change, and peacekeeping," Nepal Mission to the UN mentioned on X.

 Similarly, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to hold a meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Sunday at 5:30 pm (September 22), according to New York time.

Oli, who left for the UN Headquarters in New York on September 20, leading a Nepali delegation to the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), will return to Nepal on September 30.
