IMF sees signs of recovery in Nepal's economy

Deputy Director for Asia and Pacific Department at the International Monetary Fund, Rupa Dutta Gupta, has paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel on Sunday.

In the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance a while ago, Deputy Director Gupta told Finance Minister Paudel said that Nepal's economy was gradually improving.

It is encouraging to see amendments to laws that attract foreign investment, create revenue strategies, and implement economic suggestions in Nepal, opined Gupta. 

During the meeting, Finance Minister Paudel told Gupta that the government is working with an action plan to improve the country's economy, according to the Finance Ministry's secretariat.
