Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain, who was arrested on Sunday on the charge of allegedly committing a cyber crime, has been presented Kathmandu District Court.
Joshi, who was arrested from his Bhaktapur-based house earlier in the day, was produced at the court asking for a remand from the court, the police said.
Following the arrest from Bhaktapur, he was taken to Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police where a medical examination was conducted on Prasain. Then, he was taken to Kathmandu District Court.
Women including Tika Sangraula, central committee member of Rastriya Swatantra Party, had lodged a complaint at the Cyber Bureau against Prasain.
Acting on the complaint, the police arrested Prasain following the court's permission.
A complaint had been filed with the Cyber Bureau against Prasain for his derogatory remarks that assassinated the character of individuals and made false accusations of prostitution against women.
