Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel has held a meeting with his Chinese counterpart in the capital city Beijing on Wednesday morning.
The matters related to bilateral interest and mutual cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of China, He Lifeng said that the China government would implement the grant projects and assistances pledged earlier by China.
Similarly, Finance Minister Paudel, during the meeting, requested Chinese DPM Lifeng to take forward the projects including Kerung-Kathmandu Railway, Tokha-Chhahare Tunnel Highway, Kimathanka-Hile road, Hilsa-Surkhet-Bhurigaun road, Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology, Damak Industrial Park.
Likewise, Paudel also urged Chinese counterpart Lifeng to operate direct flight services from various cities of China to Pokhara and Bhairahawa international airports.
DPM and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Nepali Ambassador to China, Surendra Yadav, Spokesperson at the Finance Ministry, Mahesh Bhattarai, and other officials from the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers were present in the meeting that lasted for around an hour.
Similarly DPM Hi Lifeng, Transport Minister of China Li Xiaopeng, National Railway Administrator Chief, Fei Dongbin, and Civil Aviation Chief Song Zhiyong among other officials were present in the meeting from the China side.
