Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed to have been in constant contact with the state machineries and worked for the relief and rescue operations while he was in America.

He said he Boston left for Nepal as soon as he was informed about the natural disasters caused by monsoon mayhem on September 27 and 28.

"When the monsoon rains wreaked havoc in Nepal on September 26, I boarded a plane from Boston, Massachusetts, on September 28 while it was still raining. There have been complaints across social networking sites about my absence during the disasters in Nepal," said Prime Minister Oli.

He informed to have directed the government to mobilize entire state apparatuses for the relief and rescue of the flood victims.

"The disasters had not occurred prior to my US visit. As soon as the rain started making a mayhem on September 26, I was in contact with the government and the ministers. I instructed to make preparations, accordingly. I had not expected that the disasters would cause mayhem to this scale," Prime Minister Oli said.

Prime Minister Oli expressed these views at a press conference organized at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers this afternoon.
