Prakash Man Singh Raut endorsed as new Chief Justice

Prakash Man Singh Raut has been endorsed as the new Chief Justice of Nepal.

A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing committee on Wednesday endorsed the nomination of Raut as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Complaints had been sought against Raut by the PHC. As many as six complaints had been lodged against Raut.

Raut had presented his work-plan in the meeting of PHC today. Raut informed to have advocated for 33 years, taking on 9,245 cases while presenting his work-plan today.

Raut will now be appointed by the President as the new Chief Justice of Nepal.
