Manakamana Cable Car back into service

The Manakamana Cable Car is back to regular service after undergoing repair and maintenance.

Deputy Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd, Ujjwal Sherchan, said the cable car service that was suspended from October 15 to 17 has resumed from today. He said the cable car was serviced and the cables were also tightened during this period.

The cable car service was started on November 24, 1998 for the convenience of the visitors to the Manakamana Temple, a famous goddess shrine, based at Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality of Gorakha district.

The bottom station of the cable car is located at Cheres, Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4 in Chitwan district.
