SAFF final: Bangladesh takes lead 2-1 against Nepal

Bangladesh has taken a 2-1 lead against Nepal in the second half of  the SAFF final underway at Dasharath Stadium.

In the 77 minute, Banagladeshi player Ritu Porna Chakma scored another goal taking the score tally to 2-1.

Earlier, Nepal scored an equalizer against Bangladesh in the second half of the SAFF Women's Championship underway at Dasharath Stadium in Tripreshwar.

In the 53rd miute, Bangladesh had taken the lead after Monika Chakta scored a goal.

Two minutes after Bangladesh scored the first goal, Nepal leveled the score after Amisha Karki scored a goal utilizing a pass from Preeti Rai.

Both the teams could not score any goals in the first half at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar.

In the second minute of the first half, Geeta Rana's attempted clearance hit the crossbar and fell to Tohura Khatun, who was unable to capitalize on the opportunity as her header was easily saved by Nepal's goalkeeper.

Amisha Karki had a chance to give Nepal the lead in the 10th minute, but her shot from Samba's pass struck the crossbar.

In the 33rd minute of the game, Bangladesh's Monika Chakma's free kick flew over the crossbar.
