Nepalis can watch the remaining matches of the ongoing World Cup for free.
There are only three matches left in the World Cup 2022, and as per Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) policy, the two semi-finals and the final match are to be shown for free, including in Nepal.
Nepalis had to pay Rs 565 to watch the World Cup 2022 matches in Nepal. However, FIFA rules mandate to show the opening match and the last 3 matches for free.
Accordingly, even those who did not pay extra fees will be able to watch the semi-final matches and the final match of World Cup football.
Media Hub received the broadcasting rights of World Cup 2022 for Nepal and is showing the football's mega event in coordination with Himalayan Television through a new network called Himalayan Premium.
Mediahub confirmed that the last three matches can be watched for free on Himalayan HD TV.
Mediahub said that now onwards, World Cup matches will also be part of Himalayan TV's regular broadcast. They would continue to be broadcast on the premier network as well.
