China's Sichuan Airlines is conducting a chartered flight to Pokhara on Thursday.
Sichuan Airlines will charter a flight for Chinese officials attending tourism and sports events to be organized in the city of lakes.
A Sichuan Airlines plane is set to land in Pokhara from Kunming at 8:55 am, according to Nepal Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN).
The flight is scheduled to return to Kunming at 10:30 am, one and a half hours after landing in Pokhara.
"The plane of Sichuan Airlines is conducting a chartered flight to Pokhara," said Gyanendra Bhul, information officer for the Authority.
The chartered flight is expected to bring a group of up to 156 Chinese nationals to Nepal.
Mani Lamichhane, Director of the Nepal Tourism Board, informed that the 'Cross Country Race' event is going to be held by the Chinese Embassy in collaboration with Tourism Board and Pokhara Metropolitan City. He said that the event has been taking place for the past 4 to 5 years.
"The Chinese have been organizing sports programs in Pokhara for about 4 to 5 years," said Director Lamichhane, "This year's event will take place from November 7 to 9."
