Newly elected Israeli Ambassador to Nepal arrives Kathmandu

Newly elected Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Shmulik Arie Bass, has arrived in Kathmandu to assume his duties.

Bass was received by Deputy Chief of Protocol, Lekhnath Gautam, and Acting Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Janan Bebar, Charge d' Affaires at the Embassy of Israel to Nepal, at the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning.

The diplomatic ties between Nepal and Israel had been established on June 1, 1960 during the premiership of the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Nepal, Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala.
