Former Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi and Professor Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli have been appointed as the ambassadors to the United States of America and China, respectively.
President Ramchandra Paudel appointed them today in line with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, said Shailaja Regmi, spokesperson for the Office of the President.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers on July 14 had recommended ambassadors including Regmi and Oli for 18 different countries.
